Frequently Asked Questions

No. The Team Experience Index does not collect personally identifiable information. TeamWP collects some demographic data but does not include that information in results shared publicly on a granular level. For example, we would share that 30% of responses came from people based in Canada but we would not share that response X was from someone based in Canada.

Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is defined as any representation of information that permits the identity of an individual to whom the information applies to be reasonably inferred by either direct or indirect means. TeamWP asks respondents to voluntarily disclose the country they are based in, their gender and if they would describe themselves as a member of a historically underrepresented group. These questions are not mandatory and are used to help us provide collective insights to the WordPress community. We do not provide individualized demographic data to third parties.

The Team Experience Index has ~80 questions covering areas such as outlook, company leadership, team leadership, teamwork, ways of working, individual experience, work environment, compensation, recognition and development.

The Team Experience Index presents each survey question as a statement. We use a Likert scale and invite responses that best reflect agreement with the statement. Our Likert scale includes Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neither Agree/Disagree, Agree and Strongly Agree as possible options. Additionally, we also provide respondents with the opportunity to periodically provide additional comments if they wish to do so.
